The painting that started it all…my portrait of my dog Max (a.k.a. Maxfield Ringo Morton, yes, he had three names, he was a very serious dog). Doing this painting helped me develop my pet portrait style and led to the formation of Maxfield & Madison. He’s a Brussels Griffon (the dog that George Lucas modeled the Ewoks on in Star Wars), making one of his typical snaggletooth faces. Cute and weird. That’s Max.
